That's really good for your first time! One thing I'd recommend looking into in After Effects is how masks work. They would have been an easy solution for having the light source on the melon consistent as it rotates. Nice job though!

I liked the comedy in this! Just something that could help make this more interesting visually is a couple more dramatic angles or even just some camera pans, especially during slower scenes.
